This interim approval came as a result of Health Canada introducing innovative and agile regulatory measures to increase supply and ensure Canadians and health care workers have access to hand sanitizers, disinfectants and personal protective equipment to address product shortages. Among other measures, Health Canada publishes an up-to-date list of disinfectants approved for use against COVID-19, in which it has included CURIS' CURoxide.
