Estey Bomberger Files Civil Lawsuit Against Johnson Wax Heir Samuel “Curt” Johnson on Behalf of Alleged Sexual Abuse Victim
Racine, WI (PRWEB) September 29, 2014 -- Estey & Bomberger, LLP and Lucareli & Erickson Law Offices, LLC have filed a civil lawsuit in the Racine County Circuit Court against billionaire Samuel Curtis “Curt” Johnson III. The plaintiff in the suit, identified only as A.M.B., was the childhood friend of Johnson’s stepdaughter.
According to the civil complaint (Case no. 14CV1443), the plaintiff was allegedly sexually abused as a child by Curt Johnson on multiple occasions between March of 2007 and July of 2009, including some occasions while she was on vacation with the Johnson family, as well as at the Johnson family home in Racine County.
The complaint alleges the plaintiff has suffered severe psychological and emotional distress as a result of the abuse.
Johnson pleaded guilty in June 2014 to two misdemeanors in the criminal case involving his stepdaughter, including one count of fourth-degree sexual assault (Racine County Circuit Court File No. 2011CF00).
Estey is litigating this case with local attorney Steven M. Lucareli of the Wisconsin law firm of Lucareli and Erickson, LLC.
Curt Johnson was the chairman of the family-owned industrial cleaning company Diversey, a cleaning products company spun off from family-owned SC Johnson in the 1990s. He stepped down in February 2011, before his arrest. The company was sold to Sealed Air, best known for its Bubble Wrap brand, in October 2011.
