Cutting Edge Haunted House Invites All to America's Most Terrifying Halloween Haunt
One of the scariest haunted houses in America, Cutting Edge Haunted House is all set to kick-start yet another season of spine-chilling Halloween haunt on September 28. This popular Halloween attraction will remain open this year until November 2, offering frightful evenings of entertainment to the bravehearts.
DALLAS, Sept. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The much awaited day of Halloween is just around the corner, and like every year, Cutting Edge Haunted House is ready to open its door for the 2019 season. Rated as one of America's most terrifying haunted attractions, this century-old abandoned building is the recipient of many awards. The first show for this season is scheduled to get underway at 8pm sharp on September 28, and the tickets are now up for sale in the website of Cutting Edge Haunted House.
Cutting Edge Haunted House is an old abandoned meat packing plant that still has all the equipment from the Old West in use. However, it has now been converted into a two-story human processing area. Human mannequins resembling corpses hoisted to the building's second level travel through the entire process of packing, and finally they are brought back to the first level by a conveyor system. A walk through this horror-filled ambiance is replete with frighteningly-realistic props, scary special effects, numerous themed sets, a music system, and much more. It takes about an hour to experience the entire horror house for an average visitor.
Like all haunted houses, Cutting Edge Haunted House also has a notorious and haunted history. The area where the house is located was known as Hell's Half Acre in the late 1800s. This is the time when a thriving cattle industry attracted the famous gun slingers and cowboys to this area. The history of Hells Half Acre is synonymous with the heart-wrenching story of Sally, a dance hall girl who was brutally murdered. It is claimed by the locals that Sally still roams the area where she was so gruesomely murdered and placed on display. Having experienced many haunting incidents over the years, Cutting Edge Haunted House still whispers echoes from a haunted past.
Cutting Edge Haunted House was converted to a Halloween horror entertainment destination for the first time in 1991. Over a period of almost three decades, its 235,000 square feet of thrills and chills has been major Halloween attraction in Texas.
"This started off as something I did for fun. I retired from being a high school teacher because it turned out that I loved Halloween and Haunted Houses. Sometimes the team and I look at each other and say, 'Really? This is our JOB?' It's been an awesome ride for all of us and we couldn't have done it without each other," says Todd James, the founder, owner and Head Hauntsman of Cutting Edge Haunted House.
This year, the house will remain open all weekends from September 28 to November 2. Tickets are now available online and can also be purchased at the door.
