Cutting Edge Corps Receives Invitation to Defend Title at PASIC DrumLine Battle 2018

DALLAS, Oct. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cutting Edge Haunted House proudly announces that their performance group Cutting Edge Corps has been invited to the PASIC 2018 as the defending champions in the DrumLine competition. This is one of the largest drum and percussion events in the world, organized every year by the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC). Cutting Edge is one of the scariest haunted houses in America, built in an abandoned, over hundred years old meat packaging factory.

PASIC is the largest percussion event in the world, and the DrumLine Battle is considered to be the centrepiece of the event. Seven teams from all over the United States participated at the 2017 DrumLine Battle. In this competition, the participants are required to prepare a 1.5 to 2.0 minute marching percussion drum solo with stick tricks, stunts, and visuals. After a highly competitive championship round, Cutting Edge clinched the DrumLine Battle championship belt 2017 by defeating Eklhart High School from Indiana.

Cutting Edge Corps is an ensemble like none other, performing for years and attracting tens of thousands of people every year to the Cutting Edge Haunted House in Fort Worth. Cutting Edge ensemble presently comprises of around forty members, many of them from the local high school and college drum lines. Apart from their performances at the haunted house, the group also plays during the games featuring NFL's Dallas Cowboys and NBA's Dallas Mavericks.

"Participation in competitions such as the DrumLine Battle brings about a touch of competitiveness to what we do, and that helps a great deal in improving the group," said Todd James, the owner and founder of Cutting Edge Haunted House. Cutting Edge Haunted House opened its doors to the visitors for the first time in 1991.
