In an effort to become more agile, and in light of the ever-increasing number of cyberattacks directed toward the United States, under the FY2016 National Defense Authorization Act, U.S. Cyber Command has been granted the authority to directly acquire technologies related to cyberspace operations of contract values up to $75 million a year, through Sept. 30, 2021.
