As part of an initiative to broaden its product portfolio and leverage the unique attributes of the EnerChip™ solid state rechargeable micro-battery, Cymbet Corporation is introducing our next generation of Power Management with RTC (PMRTC) products. This new product integrates an ultra-low power Real Time Clock (RTC) with power management and power switching optimized for the innovative applications currently being designed by top companies, such as “battery-less” sensors, wearable sensors, as well as standard industrial and consumer applications for RTC devices. EnerChip batteries also facilitate many of these new designs and applications.
This new PMRTC product family supports charging voltage options for a variety of backup power sources – EnerChips, rechargeable coin cells, and supercapacitors. The PMRTC offers best-in-class operating current, on-chip temperature sensor, and comes with I2C and SPI interface bus options. PMRTC products will also be available in many packaging options from die to fully integrated devices with EnerChip battery for a complete customer solution. The die options along with available EnerChip die allow us to offer our customers a quick time to market of the revolutionary solutions enabled by the EnerChip battery.
CBC921 PMRTC samples and associated EVAL-14 evaluation boards are available now, with the fully integrated EnerChip version to be available in Q4 2019.
In related industry news: Jeff Sather, VP Technology and Solutions at Cymbet, will be speaking at the pre-conference symposium at Sensors Expo & Conference in San Jose, CA, on Tuesday, June 25. His presentation will focus on energy storage devices for miniature sensing applications, which Cymbet is uniquely suited to address.
