TEMPE, Ariz., Feb. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Plug and Play Cybersecurity Silicon Valley has chosen CYR3CON to participate in Selection Day for the upcoming Cybersecurity program. Plug and Play is a global innovation platform headquartered in Silicon Valley, focused on making cybersecurity technological advancement progress faster than ever before.
"Cybercrime is expected to cost companies $6 trillion by 2020. These staggering costs are what drives Plug and Play to bring the best entrepreneurs into the program to provide real technological advancement to cybersecurity," Paulo Shakarian, CYR3CON CEO stated. "We are excited to have the opportunity to participate this year and look forward to working with the corporate partners that support the Plug and Play Cybersecurity program."
With over 16,000 vulnerability disclosures in 2018 alone, determining what to protect has become extremely difficult at large enterprises. CYR3CON's Priority uses artificial intelligence fueled by data gathered from malicious hacker communities to predict what the hackers will attack even before malware and exploits are deployed. CYR3CON gained notoriety with predictions concerning several major attacks – including vulnerabilities responsible for 1.5M attacks against web servers in 2018, a vulnerability responsible for 37% of malware downloads in fall of 2018, as well as attacks such as WannaCry and NotPetya – receiving coverage by CNN and The Economist.
If selected to participate, CYR3CON will benefit from direct customer introductions to enterprise level organizations across the US with a focus on conducting Proof-of-Concept trials (POC's). CYR3CON's products have already shown rapid time-to-value in POC's conducted for other companies in the US.
"We are excited to engage with Plug and Play partners, provide value in our POC's, and establish long-term relationships," Paulo continued. "Plug and Play has recognized the need for innovation in the cyber security space and we feel our threat-based approach to vulnerability management aligns perfectly with Plug and Play's goals."
CYR3CON was previously selected for several accelerator programs in 2018 including Dreamit Ventures SecureTech and SixThirty CYBER.
