Dade Moeller Wins Environmental Merit Award
RICHLAND, Wash. (PRWEB) January 21, 2014 -- The Environmental Business Journal® (EBJ) today announced it has selected environmental services firm Dade Moeller to receive its “Project Merit: Remediation” award for 2013. The award recognizes Dade Moeller’s support to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) during ongoing damage assessment efforts related to the Deep Water Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Under contract to Industrial Economics Incorporated (Cambridge, Mass.), Dade Moeller is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the environmental samples and data collected as part of NOAA’s Natural Resources Damage Assessment process. From its Sample Intake and Logistical Center in Louisiana, Dade Moeller trains sample intake technicians; procures, stores, and delivers supplies to sampling teams in the field; takes on-site custody of samples; and packs and ships samples to laboratories. Of the 150,000 samples processed to date, Dade Moeller has ensured that more than 99% have been shipped with intact Chain of Custody documentation, within holding times, and under the correct preservation (e.g., temperature) requirements.
EBJ’s 2013 awards program recognizes 41 U.S. companies for business achievement. The awards will be presented at a ceremony during the Environmental Industry Summit in San Diego, Calif., on March 12–14.
This is the second time that Dade Moeller has been recognized by EBJ. In 2012, the firm won the Silver Medal for outstanding environmental business achievement within the mid-size ($20–$100 million revenue) category.
