Daisy Bourne Debuts with Fantasy Fiction Novel, ‘The New Land’
BASILDON, England (PRWEB) July 14, 2017 -- Daisy Bourne takes the famous and fascinating Arthurian legend a stage further with the release of her debut fantasy fiction novel “The New Land: Book 1 in the Tales of Avalon Series” (published by AuthorHouse UK). Originally published in September of 2016, a new marketing campaign is set for this first installment of “The Tales of Avalon Series” to coincide with the launch of her new website.

The legend of King Arthur of the Britons, who was slain on the battlefield by Saxon invaders, is known throughout most of the world. Many Britons believed that Arthur was not really dead but, instead, sent to a place of safety by Merlin the wizard. Tales of Avalon Series continues the story where the legend ends with Arthur and a host of magical beings finding refuge in a far off world called Avalon.
The humans and the magical beings seek to live together in companionship. However, many adventures befall the Avalonians. In “The New Land,” they must combine magic and willpower to defeat a savage race of would–be invaders. Will the Avalonians find the new life they so desire?

While mortal men slept in their beds, three ships slid into a secluded cove on the British coast. Their passengers quickly embarked, and the ships sailed away just as they had appeared: silently, like ghost ships skimming across the sea. They sailed as far as the eye could see from the shore, and then, at the point where the ocean disappeared into the sky, the ships lifted from the sea into the air. A light was shining from a far-away star, and the ships sailed towards its brightness.

The author is proud to use her mother’s birth name as a pseudonym when writing the “The Tales of Avalon Series.”Daisy Bourne was born in England, in 1917. Nothing much is known about her real parents, except that their lives were changed dramatically by World War I. At the age of 6, Bourne was unofficially adopted by a farmer and his wife. They changed her name and took her to Canada. There are several similarities between the real Bourne and her namesake in this book. To a small child, Canada, with its heavy snowfalls, huge forests, and grizzly bears, must indeed have seemed like some kind of new world. The author’s ambition is to one day write the story of the real Daisy Bourne. In the meantime, she is working to complete the other eight books in “The Tales of Avalon Series.”
