The NPD Group today announced that Dan Hess has joined the company as Chief Product Officer. In this role, Hess will lead global product development and management as the company continues to innovate with new data, technologies, and services in more markets worldwide.

Most recently, Hess was Chief Product Officer at Comscore, where he led a global organization in the design, delivery, management and support of all company products and custom analysis services. Previously, he co-founded and led a startup that created an omnichannel predictive modeling and personalization platform and was later acquired by Catalina Marketing. Earlier in his career Hess held various product, commercial, and operational leadership roles at Tribune Digital and IRI.

“Dan has a fantastic track record of aligning diverse technology and data assets, and unifying and inspiring global teams, to create products that meet market needs and delight clients,” said NPD Chief Executive Officer Karyn Schoenbart. “We are thrilled to have him on board to help drive NPD’s continued growth.”
