Dr. Martich has extensive experience serving as a physician leader, championing organizations through their electronic health record (EHR) journey and realizing the long-term transformational value of their investments. He has a strong background as a research leader in clinical informatics with a focus on patient engagement and consumerism. His leadership efforts have resulted in organizational efficiency gains, standardization, and improved quality and operational design.

Before joining The Chartis Group, Dr. Martich served as Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) of Pittsburgh-based UPMC and was Chief Medical Officer and President, Physician Services, with WVU Medicine. He is also a nationally and internationally-recognized speaker on patient safety, quality improvement, organizational effectiveness and informatics.
Dr. Martich received his medical degree from West Virginia University and his Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Bethany College. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Preventative Medicine.
