GULEPH, Ontario, July 9, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Jim Estill, CEO of Danby Appliances, a Canadian appliance manufacturer/distributor based in Guelph, Ontario will be appointed to the Order of Canada with 104 other members at a ceremony to be held in Rideau Hall.
"I'm grateful to be named to the Order of Canada," said Estill following the announcement on June 29th, before the Canada Day long weekend.
In 2017, Mr. Estill received the Order of Ontario, the province's highest honour for his work in bringing hundreds of Syrian refugees to Guelph. Estill will receive the Order of Canada for his "contributions to the Guelph and Waterloo technology communities and for his philanthropic efforts benefiting refugees," according to the Governor General of Canada.

What he's done for Canada is impressive," said CFO of Danby, Andrew Raymond. Recipients will be invited to accept their insignia at a ceremony to be held at a later date.
