PHOENIX, Aug. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- MDSL, a global leader in Technology Expense Management ("TEM") solutions, was selected by Danfoss in 2017 to provide software and services to help reign in global telecom spending. With more than 15,000 mobile devices across 50 countries globally, Danfoss needed visibility into their telecommunication access points to properly manage device inventory and ensure they had the correct mobile subscriptions to best serve their users. As a result, Danfoss has achieved more than €2.8 million in savings in the first 18 months of their partnership with MDSL.
"Danfoss has been an excellent partner and we are excited to be able to deliver ongoing savings that go above and beyond their expectations," said Charles Layne, Chief Executive Officer at MDSL. "It's incredible what you can accomplish when you have a client that is a true partner and together, you can jointly drive successful outcomes. We look forward to working with Danfoss for many years to come."
As a result of the successful TEM implementation with MDSL, Danfoss has established a Telecoms Centre of Excellence (CoE) to demonstrate that telecoms are a strategic asset for Danfoss and not just a "need to have" commodity. An immediate function of the CoE will be the launch of MySpend reporting through MDSL that spans the entire fleet of Danfoss mobile device users. Employees will receive an email once a month with an overview of their mobile billing for the past quarter, providing visibility and awareness for each employee and allow them to flag any billing irregularities. The launch of the MySpend report aligns closely with Danfoss corporate values of 'Think Danfoss' and 'Run the Business like your Own'.
Danfoss also found additional value through utilizing MDSL's sourcing expertise for a Pan European mobility RFP that included more than 30 countries. After analyzing existing contracts and billing to build user profiles, MDSL compared the proposed rates against benchmarks and potential commercial impacts. After supplying these recommendations for vendor and service changes, MDSL assisted Danfoss in implementing the changes. The result yielded substantial savings for Danfoss in addition to regular day-to-day TEM management and optimization.
"We chose MDSL because they successfully demonstrated to us their extensive knowledge of Global telecom providers, contracts and billing," said Patrick O'Brien, Head of Telecoms Centre of Excellence at Danfoss. "They go the 'extra mile' for their customers and the customer is always first."
