Highland, Maryland (PRWEB) January 01, 2015 -- Daniel Bednarik oversees the operations of the company's Molecular Engineering Unit and synthetic biology (#syntheticbiology) programs focused on the treatment of cancer, and other diseases. Prior to Intrexon, Dan was employed by Cardiome Pharma Corporation in Vancouver, BC for 7 years. Cardiome acquired Artesian Therapeutics, Inc., a company that Dan co-founded in 2000 that developed a unique transcriptomic paradigm to identify genes that were dysregulated in heart failure. Dan has previously served in the capacity of a consultant for bioinformatics, infectious disease, and heart disease, and has served as an advisor to scientific and investor boards.
