In addition, DQSA will improve the effectiveness of the recalls of pharmaceutical products and provide a single uniform policy nationwide. DQSA goes into effect on January 1, 2015 and affects supply chain business across the pharmaceutical industry including pharmaceutical manufacturers, re-packagers, wholesale distributors, third party logistics providers (3PLs) and pharmaceutical dispensers.
The new Datex WMS pharmaceutical edition includes the warehouse management software suite, special quality assurance/quality control, manufacturing and shipping management features to facilitate FDA regulatory compliance. In addition, validation services are included in the special pharmaceutical WMS edition. Datex FootPrint WMS enables DEA Form 222 processing, product hold, inspection and quarantine; multiple level package tracking; serialization and product returns. Pharmaceutical products can be tracked and traced by Lot, serial number, SKU, UPC, batch, package, vial & more.
