Mount Sinai Health System has named David A. Feinberg as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. In this role, he will provide leadership and strategic guidance for all traditional and digital marketing, communications, and branding efforts. Mr. Feinberg will join the senior leadership team to develop marketing strategies that will enhance reputation and create robust revenue growth for the seven-hospital system.
Mr. Feinberg brings more than 30 years of consumer and health care marketing experience to this role, including senior leadership positions at respected health care organizations. He joins Mount Sinai from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, where he was Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.

Prior to his role at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Mr. Feinberg held leadership roles for nearly 20 years at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where he was Vice President, Marketing, from 1997 to 2011, and Chief Marketing Officer from 2012-16. Mr. Feinberg led NewYork-Presbyterian’s “Amazing Things Are Happening Here” advertising campaign and directed the reputation strategy that helped the hospital appear for 16 consecutive years on the U.S. News & World Report “Best Hospitals” Honor Roll. His other previous experience includes leading the health care practice of The Seiden Group, an advertising and marketing firm, as well as positions at Ciba-Geigy (now Novartis), Procter & Gamble, and Clairol.
Mr. Feinberg earned his Master’s in Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and received his BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
