Debadutta Dash Joins the Sheraton Bellevue as General Manager
Bellevue, Washington (PRWEB) August 31, 2015 -- Debadutta Dash has joined the Sheraton Bellevue as its New General Manager. Dash has been working as a Sales Manager and Property Service Culture Trainer at the Westin Bellevue since 2007.
As a native of India, and before moving to the US in 1996, Dash worked with the Departments of Commerce, Agriculture and Co-operatives for the Government of India. After moving to the United States, he has worked in management for Wal-Mart for more than four years. In addition he was a Co-Publisher for PlanetGuru, the first ever South Asian newspaper and website in the State of Washington. Besides being a volunteer, executive board member and the former President of the India Association of Western Washington (http://www.iaww.org) he was also the founder of the South Asian Music and Performing Arts Resource Center (SAMPARC) and alumnus of the United Way of King County Project LEAD Program and the ACLF Leadership Program. He is former president and current board members for the Asian Counseling Referral Service (ACRS). He has served as a commissioner to the Washington State Commission on Asian and Pacific American Affairs (CAPAA) under both Governors Christine Gregoire and Jay Inslee. As the Co-Chair of Washington State and India Trade Relations Action Committee (WASITRAC) he put together trade missions to India, under the joint leadership of US Congressman Jim McDermott and Washington State Lt. Governor Brad Owen in 2010 as well as Port of Seattle CEO Tay Yoshitani in March 2011. He has been honored by Northwest Asian Weekly Foundation, International Examiner, and Congressman Jim McDermott for his dedicated service to the local community in the Greater Seattle area, and invited to the White House for Holiday Celebrations.
