“Stella and Stanley”: a wonderful children’s story about a hen and a rooster who do everything together until an unexpected situation arises. “Stella and Stanley” is the creation of published author Debbie Sewell, a bilingual registered nurse and works as a home health nurse for Providence Saint Mary Medical Center. She has worked as a RN for the last twenty-five years in a variety of nursing.
Sewell shares, “Stanley is a big tough rooster. He watches over his gentle and feathery hen, Stella. They do everything together. When you see one, you always see the other. They have funny ways they interact with each other, and you can’t help but love to watch them. But suddenly something tragic happens. What will become of the ‘two peas in a pod?’ Tragic or not tragic? That is the question.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Debbie Sewell’s new book draws young hearts to Jesus through nature. It is about a rooster and a hen and the sweet ways they interact. There is a little mystery when Stella comes up missing but it has a positive and warm ending. And at the end of the book it will refer how we should always run to God for help especially if we are feeling down and discouraged because he wants to cover us with his feathers and hide us under his wings. (Palms 91:4)"
