Start2Finish Comics’ author and illustrator Daniel Foster announces his entry into the publishing scene with the release of “Torment: Descension” (published by Archway Publishing). This debut graphic novel in the “Torment” trilogy tells the tale of a father who is willing to sacrifice everything to save his family.

David and Grace are happy new parents. Their lives could not be better, until their baby becomes deathly ill. How far would a father go to save his child and family? Readers are invited to join David on his supernatural journey as he struggles with his own morality in the choices he must make to save his infant son in this classic tale of good versus evil.

“Everyone has a person or a circle of people they love. Most people have someone they would sacrifice themselves to protect. This book takes the reader on a harrowing tale with someone who has to make difficult decisions in an attempt to save the people he loves,” Foster says.

When asked what he wants readers to take away from the book, Foster answers, “I want the readers to explore the not so simple concept of how an unethical act can be rationalized as morally acceptable. Everyone has a moral compass that guides them through decisions of right and wrong, but what happens when people are faced with decisions that are not so black and white? Are your choices so easily defined as right and wrong if you think you are making them for the greater good? I think someone caught up in this kind of moral dilemma can make for a good story. I hope my readers will feel the same way.” For More details about the book, please visit and

About the Author
Growing up, one would often find Daniel Foster reading a comic book, drawing his comic pages, or trying to get in a pickup basketball game at the park. Nowadays, one will find this full-time software developer cheering on his Philadelphia sports teams with his beloved kids, taking his crazy dog on a walk, or working on the Torment trilogy at his drawing table. Foster’s greatest hope is the people who pick up a copy of his debut graphic novel enjoy reading it as much as he enjoyed creating it.
