The Boston-based company, led by former IBM Technology Leader, is decentralizing data ownership and AI evolution, returning power and privacy to consumers
BOSTON, Aug. 22, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- mEinstein AI (mE), a new community driven artificial intelligence platform that is decentralizing AI and data ownership, today launched its WeFunder campaign to allow investors of all sizes to join their seed-round before opening future rounds for Venture Capital firms.
mE AI has developed a personal AI assistant that evolves through the collaboration of the community, allowing unprecedented capabilities and enabling users to monetize not only their contributions, but also data generated by the usage of the AI.
The mE AI Assistant is made up of six AI agents, each capable of helping users make informed decision-making based on real-life scenarios and training provided by experts in finance, fitness, nutrition, and personal care among others. mE AI will send alerts and make suggestions while also being capable of engaging in natural conversation mode allowing users to talk by voice chat with the AI to ask for advice.
Founded in 2019, mE AI is led by three experienced entrepreneurs: Prithwi Thakuria (founder), a former IBM Global Leader for Big Data, Analytics and Cognitive and high-ranking executive in multiple fortune 500 companies, Cris Cantolla (CEO & co-founder) creator of EYENET AI, an AI Development firm and SAAS company and Lekha Mishra (CTO & co-founder), who previously created APHS, a successful mobile development firm located in India.
"I couldn't help but wonder about bringing the power of AI for everyone to enjoy,'' said Thakuria. "We wanted to do something that could really help everyone's daily life. Importantly we also wanted to do something that is impactful for the greater societal good. And returning power and control of data back to the users and allowing them to monetize was paramount."
mE AI is also giving users ownership rights over the data generated by the daily use of AI. This opens the doors for members to sell their data multiple times if they so choose, as well as democratizing the evolution of a technology that is changing the way we live.
"Since the beginning of the era of Big Techs, the control of technology and the data that consumers generate when using it has always been under centralized systems," said Thakuria. "This not only excludes users from the evolutionary process of technology, but also leaves their data and privacy at the mercy of the big techs. mEinstein AI is reinventing the way people interact with AI, putting in their hands a powerful companion for day-to-day decisions that evolves based on the community's vote."
The decentralized nature of mE AI regarding AI evolution and data ownership is designed to preserve the power of the technology in the hands of people and not corporate interests. Through the use of a Blockchain and a Decentralized Autonomous Organization(DAO) – web3 marketplace - the company ensures users can completely control their privacy and, track and own every vote, collaboration, and data package that they have created for later monetization in the data marketplace.
"We have seen how state-of-the-art tech and data have been used against the masses over and over again. Today technology is working against people rather than for them," said Cantolla. "We are going to change that. The power of mE AI can only stay in the hands of the community and no one else."
mE AI will be releasing its first version in the upcoming months to a limited market in the US. It is in the final stages of development.
Private Equity firm Energy Ventures Group (EVG) - the lead investor for mEinstein – is a private equity investor who invests in clean energy generation and storage as well as potentially highly impactful start-up technology companies.
Mark Iamonaco, Partner at EVG says, "compelling use case given that AI is brought to bear automating life's monotonous, yet important tasks; while also truly creating a community driven platform. This is done while simultaneously enabling users to completely control their privacy and allowing them to benefit financially from the use of mE. In short, mE gives the power of AI directly to the user/community, as opposed to a large tech company or advertiser, which we feel will make its continued use, by the community, compelling."
mEinstein AI is based in Boston, MA. The company creates community driven AI assistants that allow users to receive advice, recommendations, and alerts to make informed decisions in areas like finance, nutrition, fitness, and personal care. Its main goal is to open knowledge to improve the quality of life around the globe.
