“Far from Being a Fairy Tale”: an intimate look into the highs and lows of three relationships that each held unique lessons. “Far from Being a Fairy Tale” is the creation of published author Delia Morales, a native of Puerto Rico who was raised in New York City. She went to the Inter-American University in Puerto Rico where she majored in English education and graduated in 1983. She worked as an English school teacher for thirty-one years.
Morales shares, “What Delia really wanted and needed in her life was the feeling of being wanted and loved by a prince charming like she would find in a fairy tale. A prince charming who would take over her heart and turn her life around. A prince charming that every girl dreams and desires at one point in her life. Her goal was to live a fairy tale, in other words, a happily ever after. As she was growing up, she was always daydreaming and visualizing all these things, but was her happily ever after and handsome prince ever there?
“Let me tell you the amazing story of a girl named Delia, an avid reader of fairy tales whose favorite fairy tale was Cinderella, so Cinderella she wanted to be. It’s a compelling story of how her love life all begins. In New York, she meets this guy named Miguel, and when meeting him, she sees in Miguel an actual prince charming, the one she had always wanted. After six months of having a relationship with him, her heart gets broken when he tells her he has to return to Puerto Rico. A year after; she decides to follow her dream and goes to Puerto Rico in search of Miguel, her prince.
