We are incredibly honored to receive these prestigious accolades highlighting our ability to continually create innovative flavors with artisan chocolate. Being recognized as a Grand Master Chocolatier again, and as a USA Today 10Best is a true honor.
AUSTIN, Texas (PRWEB) April 15, 2020
For a fifth consecutive year, Delysia Chocolatier has been named a Best Chocolatier in the Americas with the highest honor, Six Star Award: Grand Master by the International Chocolate Salon Awards for the 2020 Best Chocolatiers and Confectioners in America. The Austin-based chocolatier has also won the 2020 USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice travel awards for Best Food Subscription Box. These prestigious awards recognize the chocolatier’s excellence in creating handcrafted confections using only the finest quality chocolate from sustainable sources and freshest ingredients.
The International Chocolate Salon is one of the premier international bodies honoring artisanal and premium chocolate confectioners. Delysia Chocolatier has been recognized as a Grand Master Chocolatier for five years running. Delysia Chocolatier is ranked second in the Americas and is one of only eight chocolatiers in the western hemisphere to be awarded the highest ranking Six Star title of Grand Master. To qualify for the title, Delysia Chocolatier received the most votes from the panel of judges, which included national and regional magazines, newspaper and expert chefs who evaluated hundreds of fine chocolate artisans and large-scale producers in the Americas.
Delysia Chocolatier’s INDULGE: Personal Chocolate Experience won the 2020 USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice travel awards for Best Food Subscription Box. The award program recognizes the top ten products in a category as voted on by USA Today readers from an original list of 20 nominations. INDULGE: Personal Chocolate Experience is a monthly subscription providing a personal guided chocolate tasting experience delivered directly to adventurous foodies’ doors. Curated with a monthly theme, each box is filled with unique, innovative flavors and access to limited edition chocolate indulgences. Included in each monthly shipment is a Note from the Chocolatier, highlighting behind-the-scenes insights into the month’s flavors, a step-by-step tasting guide, and chocolate knowledge. Quarterly subscribers are invited to join Chef Patel for a virtual chocolate tasting featuring her favorite assortment of flavors and a journey of discovery through chocolate.
“We are incredibly honored to receive these prestigious accolades highlighting our ability to continually create innovative flavors with artisan chocolate,” says chef-owner and chocolatier, Nicole Patel. “In the past year, we have continued to expand our horizons with our new INDULGE subscription service, introduced several new flavors through our SAVOR: Chocolate Tasting Experience, and handcrafted the first artisanal chocolate truffles using ruby chocolate in the United States. Being recognized as a Grand Master Chocolatier again, and as a USA Today 10Best is strong validation that our pursuit of culinary creativity and excellence is well worth the effort.”
While the award-winning chocolatier’s Culinary Center is temporarily closed to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, Delysia Chocolatier is helping people in need by contributing 10 percent of the proceeds of its online sales to the Central Texas Food Bank now through April 30, 2020. In addition, owner Patel is personally matching that donation for a total of 20% from each order donated to those locally in need. The Central Texas Food Bank provides vital relief for a 21-county service area.
“These are unprecedented times,” says Patel. “Such times require, even demand, unprecedented support and compassion for our local community. We’re glad we can assist people in need by making financial contributions. In the first two weeks of the fundraiser, we have raised more than $1150, which equates to 4600 meals. We are touched by the warm support we have received from our customers who are also eager to assist.”
With shelter in place orders in much of the country, Delysia Chocolatier is now hosting its SAVOR: Chocolate Tasting Experience online. The virtual chocolate tastings are held every weekend, with the chocolates shipped directly to people who register. Saturday evening tastings alternate each week between Family Night and Date Night experiences. Every Sunday is dedicated to unique tasting themes, including the upcoming wine and chocolate pairing event on May 10 to celebrate Mother’s Day, in collaboration with Slate Mill Wine Collective.
