Board members use their collective knowledge and skills to create sustainable, positive change
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 22, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Rhoan Morgan, founder and CEO of global enterprise B2B digital marketing agency DemandLab, has joined the Board of Directors at Freedom United, the world's largest community dedicated to ending human trafficking and modern slavery.
Freedom United mobilizes a united community to create power for change by asking the public to become stakeholders in ending slavery. The organization provides millions of supporters with awareness, education, and ways to take action on all forms of modern slavery issues globally.
According to a United Nations report recently published by Walk Free, approximately 50 million people are living in conditions of modern slavery, equal to nearly one in every 150 people around the world. An estimated 27.6 million people are exploited in forced labor, including 3.3 million children; of those children, more than half are sexually exploited commercially. Another 22 million people are in a forced marriage, with many victims under the age of 15 when the marriage takes place.

As a Board member, Morgan will join 16 other global leaders in helping to set the direction of Freedom United, collaborate to implement calls for change, foster strong partnerships, and guide the organization to leverage the power of the worldwide community.
Since adolescence, Morgan has believed in the importance of volunteering to support local and global communities. She has served as a career counselor for Dress for Success, a nonprofit organization that helps women facing employment challenges to achieve economic independence. She is passionate about mentorship for students interested in entering the marketing field — including employees of DemandLab — and she has led several company-wide initiatives to support causes important to the DemandLab team.
