Yves is a masters in philosophy from Rijksuniversiteit Gent University in Belgium and has since been extremely interested in the state of Europe’s economy, governmental decisions and how it is affecting the people living there, specifically from World War I to now.
“The falling apart of Austria-Hungary, the start of World War I, the many problems in Belgium to form a new government and also the failure of the United States to democratize Iraq were all events that were very interesting to me,” Decock said. “The combination of those events plus my philosophy background pushed me to research further into the democracy of the world.”
