For nearly four decades, Dennis Lewis has been a champion for access to quality oral healthcare services and education for underserved communities in the greater Boulder area, and across the state. He has expanded the reach of Dental Aid to schools, behavioral health centers and other community-based locations to improve oral healthcare access to those with high needs. Additionally, he has helped develop and implement the Cavity Free at Three program which educates parents on healthy dental habits for toddlers. Lewis is also one of the champions of the SMILES Dental Project model, a virtual dental care model designed to support the needs of low-income adults and children in rural communities that wouldn't normally access services due to cost, transportation, cultural or language barriers.
