Designers and Chefs Shine at Lifestyle Network’s Los Angeles Launch
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- Hollywood gave a warm welcome to ABS-CBN International’s newest channel, Lifestyle Network, whose swanky launch featured Filipino American designers and chefs. Installations of fashion as art featured bridal headpieces by designer Carlyn Nuyda Calloway which augmented reality against sketches by Filipino design legends like Salvacion Lim, live models in couture designs by Michael Cinco, Furne One, and Cary Santiago that turned fabric into ornament, and a feast for the eyes featuring handbags and minaudières by New York-based designer Rafe Totengco. On the runway, Project Runway’s Jay Sario opened the fashion show with his “Night Owl” collection and Hollywood designer Alexis Monsanto debuted his “Holiday Resort Collection ’14,” inspired by the romance and opulence of the erté and art deco muse.
Celebrities, producers, and industry bigwigs were treated to sumptuous fare by L.A. Rose Café’s Lem Balagot, Las Vegas Chef Rudolfo Jaleo, Jr. of Zagat-rated Ventano Italian Grill, and Cara Mia Gelato with a spread that whet the palate and recreated nostalgic Filipino flavors.
Also sponsored by Peroni, VuQo, Standing Sun Wines, LA Colors, Lierac Paris, Phyto Paris, MUD: Make-Up Designory and Sweet 9, Lifestyle Network – the channel that helps you live your dreams and live your passions – has arrived. Lifestyle Network is now available on Time Warner Channel 683 in Los Angeles and Channel 691 in San Diego, as well as Oceanic Time Warner Channel 683 in Hawaii.
