Dia Demmon Named President of North American Title Company
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) February 07, 2019 -- States Title, Inc. has named Dia Demmon president of its newly acquired subsidiary, North American Title Co. (NATC). She will oversee the company’s extensive title insurance, escrow and closing operations throughout the country.
“With several decades of experience in title and settlement, and a demonstrated track record in expanding her responsibility across the North American footprint, Dia was the natural choice to lead our national agency,” said States Title CEO Max Simkoff. “She will be supported by an amazing group of senior executives, whom she already knows well, in managing our affiliated retail agency revenue and operations across the country.”
States Title acquired the majority of NATC’s retail business along with North American Title Insurance Company (NATIC) from Lennar Corp. on Jan. 7, with Lennar retaining a minority interest. A Silicon Valley-based insurtech startup, States Title uses predictive analytics to underwrite the title on a property nearly instantaneously, helping customers close real estate transactions safely, quickly and inexpensively.
Demmon’s professional credentials include extensive experience in the title insurance, real estate and financial services industries, encompassing a broad spectrum of disciplines, including sales, marketing, operations, public speaking, employee training and development, customer relations, real estate sales, and property management. Her previous positions at North American Title include Western Region President, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, President of North American Exchange Company, and Vice President, Division Manager of National Title Services.
Prior to joining NATC, Demmon was President of WaMu 1031, a wholly owned subsidiary of Washington Mutual, Inc. In that role, she led the post-acquisition merger and integration of three national §1031 exchange companies and had oversight and responsibility for all departments. She also served five years as Assistant Vice President and Sales Manager at Fidelity National Title Insurance Co. in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Demmon received her Bachelor of Arts in management from St. Mary’s College of Moraga and currently serves on the California Land Title Association Board of Governors. She works out of the company’s western region corporate office in Concord, California.
