SAN FRANCISCO, June 11, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Vida Health, a personalized virtual care platform for physical and behavioral health, today announced the hire of Cynthia "CJ" Mark as Chief Commercial Officer and Chris Mosunic as Vice President of Behavioral Health. The two join the team as Vida Health sets out to scale their platform and expand their footprint.
Mark will lead the commercialization and scaling of Vida's virtual care platform, bringing it into new market segments. Throughout her career, Mark has been a key steward of the telehealth market such as at Teladoc Health, where she has experience in commercialization across payors, health systems and employers as well as a deep understanding of the compliance and regulatory environment.
Mosunic will serve as Vida's VP of Behavioral Health, overseeing behavioral health programs and scaling Vida's network of coaches and therapists. Mosunic's experience spans over a decade of work in the behavioral health sector, across a range of applications from diet and nutrition to addiction and substance abuse recovery.
"The scope of Chis and Cynthia's expertise is matched only by the depth of their commitment to developing new, enhanced methods for treating chronic physical and mental health conditions," said Stephanie Tilenius, CEO of Vida Health. "Cynthia's leadership has shaped the telehealth market and helped it scale to millions globally. Chris has leveraged his interdisciplinary approach to health in service of transforming the broader understanding of and access to chronic disease treatment in this country. Together, Chris and Cynthia will strengthen Vida's evidence-based approaches to delivering tangible health outcomes to individuals everywhere."
Mark joins Vida with more than 20 years of healthcare and employee benefits experience encompassing employee benefits and health plan management, population health management, marketing and operations for health plans, healthcare systems and large public, labor and education organizations nationwide.
Prior to joining Vida, Mark held several executive roles at both Fortune 500 and start-up companies, serving most recently as National Market Leader for TeladocHealth. Mark joined Teladoc early, prior to their IPO, and has helped scale the company over the last 7 years.
The culmination of these experiences has given Mark an unparalleled understanding of how to build and scale health platforms to meet the needs of a growing and changing customer base, across market segments.
"The market is primed for a player like Vida to scale their offerings at a rapid pace," said Mark, Chief Commercial Officer of Vida Health. "They have built their platform from the beginning to address the whole spectrum of health, meaning that they are able to quickly and efficiently build personalized solutions that meet any payor's, employer's or individual consumer's needs. I am excited to be a part of a team that has been committed to doing it right from day one, so that they can meet market needs for years to come."
Complementing Mark's efforts on commercialization, Mosunic joins the team Vice President of Behavioral Health to continue to grow and expand Vida's chronic disease management strategies. His career has been focused on behavioral health as the foundation for physical and mental health, with an emphasis on diabetes and addiction and other chronic conditions.
Mosunic's experience has spanned work as the Director of the Center for Behavioral & Nutritional Health at Yale New Haven Health, Senior Director at Johnson & Johnson, President of The Weight Loss & Diabetes Center, and the Executive Director of the International Association of Firefighters Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery.
As apart of his training, Mosunic has studied the intersection of nutritional biochemistry and clinical psychology, holding a PhD in the latter. He also earned his business degree to help make sure these new models of treatment gained sustainable market traction.
