Dinosaurs Discovered at Dutch Wonderland
Lancaster, PA (PRWEB) January 25, 2014 -- Dutch Wonderland will introduce Exploration Island, a new prehistoric themed area for 2014 featuring a fossil dig area and forest pathways filled with over a dozen lifelike dinosaurs that will transport guests back in time when these giants ruled the land.
Exploration Island will offer guests of all ages the opportunity to encounter moving and breathing lifelike dinosaurs and explore their history. A walk down Prehistoric Path gives guests the chance to experience the 15 foot long animatronic dinosaurs up close as they explore the Island pathways at their own pace. State of the art animatronics will create moving creatures that breathe, roar and move as if they were alive. Facts and trivia about the dinosaurs can be found along the way. The new open-air fossil dig area, Dino Dig, will give guests the chance to unearth fossils. Dutch Wonderland’s classic car ride, The Turnpike, has been relocated to Exploration Island, and is more than doubled in length giving guests a longer drive with new sites to see. Exploration Island is also home to the Gondola Cruise, a classic boat ride through the Island canals.
“We are excited about the addition of Exploration Island,” said Rick Stammel, Dutch Wonderland’s General Manager. “It will include interactive new attractions for guests of all ages. This is the most exciting addition to Dutch Wonderland since Duke’s Lagoon!”
Dutch Wonderland announced the news on their Facebook page first on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 10 am. Attraction details and concept art can be found at http://www.dutchwonderland.com/2014.
