MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif., Oct. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This Veterans Day, Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra and the National Wounded Warrior Center (to be built in Mammoth Lakes, CA) will hold an evening of remembrance honoring the often overlooked heroism and tragedy of the Korean War.
Starting at 6pm, they'll be screening the documentary "Hold at All Costs: Korea The Battle of Outpost Harry" as well as a discussion with Korean War veteran and producer Bob Baker and veteran Roy Cratty along with his wife Carole.
"This film does an amazing job of showcasing the stories and experiences of veterans on both sides of this Forgotten War," said DSES Executive Director Kathy Copeland. "As we've come to support more veterans with disabilities over the years, we've felt a growing call to make sure no soldier's sacrifice goes unnoticed. This year we've chosen to honor our Korean War veterans."
"Hold at All Costs Korea: The Battle of Outpost Harry" was initially released in 2010 for the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, and is a unique telling of what is considered the most decisive battle of the Korean War.
Featuring stories, interviews, and footage of both American and Chinese veterans, it highlights the bravery and sacrifice of these men and women in a way that no text book or film has yet to accomplish.
To be a part of this special engagement, visit the Edison Theater at 100 College Pkwy, Mammoth Lakes, California at 6pm on Sunday November 11, 2018. The documentary runs for 87 minutes and will be followed by a discussion.
