Disaronno International has announced that Colangelo & Partners, a fine wine, spirits and food-focused integrated communications agency, will be its agency of record in the United States for the company’s imported portfolio from Sicily: the Duca di Salaparuta Group (Corvo, Duca di Salaparuta and Florio Marsala), to develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy targeted to key media, trade and influencers. The partnership will focus on engaging new and current consumers through strategic media and trade relations, events and partnerships and influencer marketing.

The Duca di Salaparuta Group consists of three historic wine brands that represent Sicily and Italy worldwide: Corvo and Duca di Salaparuta, founded in 1824, and Florio Marsala, founded in 1833. Gathered into one group by the Reina family, the three brands together today constitute the first private wine group formed in Sicily. They express the island’s history and its land through the estates and the range of wines that represent Sicilian terroir at its best. The campaign will aim to increase brand awareness and visibility around its high-quality, versatile Marsalas, as well as introduce them to a new generation of wine drinkers. Corvo has long been a staple Italian wine brand, consistently offering quality and value. The program will center around revitalizing Corvo’s brand image among influencers in the market as well as consumers. The brand will also see a package refresh to launch later this summer. Duca di Salaparuta produces high-quality wines with native varieties from three estates around the island, exemplifying the expression of Sicilian terroir. The program will focus on establishing the brand as a prominent wine estate and a leader in Sicilian winemaking, keeping it top-of-mind for key media and trade.
