Bots make up nearly 60 percent of all web traffic and are an increasingly popular platform used by hackers and fraudsters to carry out web scraping, brute force attacks, competitive data mining, online fraud, account hijacking, unauthorized vulnerability scans, spam, man-in-the-middle attacks, digital ad fraud, and downtime. Distil offers the first easy and accurate way to defend websites against these malicious bots -- without impacting legitimate users. By monitoring each page request and building a fingerprint of each incoming connection, Distil allows customers to accurately detect bots in real time and then provides options to mitigate the attack.
