DMA has a unique culture that the Board of Directors wanted to preserve, so finding a candidate with the right leadership skills, values, and dedication to client service was of the utmost importance.
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (PRWEB) October 12, 2018
DMA – DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc., an industry-leading tax consulting firm serving the U.S. and Canada, today announced that its board of directors has appointed Dan Hutmacher as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Earlier this year, DMA’s board commissioned a national executive search for a successor to Dave Meinika, the firm’s long-time President and CEO, who stepped down in April due to health reasons. Though no longer an employee of the company, Meinika continues to serve as a member of DMA’s board of directors.
Through its search process, the board identified and considered several strong external candidates, in addition to Hutmacher, who had been serving as interim President and CEO since Meinika’s departure. Hutmacher emerged from the search as the clear choice to lead DMA into the future.
Hutmacher joined DMA in 1989 and quickly moved through the company’s ranks, serving in a variety of operational and managerial roles with increasing responsibilities. He most recently served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, having ultimate responsibility for all of the company’s operations across the U.S. and Canada.
“I’ve been a proud DMA employee-owner for many years, and now I’m honored to lead the company,” Hutmacher said. “Over his many years of service, Dave poured his heart and soul into DMA and, in the process, created a very unique and special culture that centers on our employee-owners and on providing great client service experiences. We want to preserve that culture while we continue to evolve as a business in order to meet our clients’ needs. I’m excited for the opportunity to build on Dave’s legacy and to lead DMA into what we think is going to be a very exciting future.”
“DMA has a unique culture that the Board of Directors wanted to preserve, so finding a candidate with the right leadership skills, values, and dedication to client service was of the utmost importance,” Meinika said. “I have worked closely with Dan for many years, and I know that his core values, work ethic, leadership style, and dedication to client service position him well to be a tremendous success as DMA’s next President and CEO. The Board and I have every confidence in Dan and in all of our employee-owners’ abilities and desire to continue to realize DMA’s full potential.”
