London (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- Each year, more than 200 women travel to fertility institutes in New York and Los Angeles from countries where gender selection is banned, according to clinic director Dr. Jeffrey Steinberg. Dr. Alan Rose wrote his new book encompassing his experience after opening the first gender clinic in London.
Rose’s book “Sex and Alcohol in Retirement” is a biography of his journey after retirement, opening and running a gender clinic and explores his time as an expert witness in many drunk-driving cases.
“When I retired from the National Health Service at the age of 65 in 1990 I expected to have little professional work to do,” Rose said. “How different things turned out.”
Rose’s book describes his work running a clinic that allowed parents to choose the sex of their baby. It reveals the community and British Parliament’s negative reaction to his gender clinic’s opening.
“Sex selection does not change the balance of the sex ratio if ethical guidelines are followed,” Rose said.
