DogVacay Appoints Former Riot Games Executive as Chief Technology Officer

In this role, Root will oversee all developments coming from DogVacay’s technical departments including front-end back-end engineering, mobile, DevOps and quality assurance as well as further build the company’s engineering teams.
Root brings 28 years of tech experience to the role of CTO. He comes to DogVacay from Riot Games, where he worked for eight years and most recently served as Technical Director of the e-Commerce team. He helped grow Riot Games from a small startup to the world-class company it is today. He’s responsible for successfully launching the Riot Games merchandise store that now serves customers across 32 countries, 13 languages and 3 currencies, building an API solution for Riot Games, and hiring key developers and consultants to expand the organization’s impressive team.
