Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina, Helps Inaugurate New Lifestyle Group Resort in Puerto Plata
The Presidential Suites Cabarete, a new project by the Lifestyle Group, is an all-inclusive luxury resort in Puerto Plata that is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the area.
SANTO DOMINGO, D.R., Jan. 3, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Lifestyle Group is proud to announce the inauguration of its newest hotel project, the Presidential Suites Cabarete, in Puerto Plata. The inauguration celebration took place in December and was attended by Dominican Republic President, Danilo Medina, who later toured several apartments of the newly opened complex after the ribbon cutting.
Francisco Javier Garcia, Minister of Tourism, gave the signature remarks of the event on the growth of tourism in Puerto Plata. The Lifestyle Group is proud to have one of the highest levels of occupation in the area. Finally, Julio Cesar Corniel Amaro, Bishop of the Diocese of Puerto Plata, gave the blessing of the project.
In addition to these important Dominican Republic dignitaries and other government officials and representatives of the sector, the event was attended by Markus Wischenbart and Anja Wiscenbart, President and Vice President of the Lifestyle Group. They were joined by Patrick Sleezer, a representative from the Wynn Group, a Canadian investment group that was responsible for the construction of the project.
Sleezer spoke of the group's confidence in the Lifestyle Group to operate the Presidential Suites Cabarete at the five-star level it has been known for. The Presidential Suites Cabarete was built with an investment of 36 million dollars.
Markus Wischenbart said that he will continue to invest in the Dominican Republic as it offers a stellar investment environment that President Danilo Medina helped foster and can bring many jobs and economic growth to the area.
His first hotel in Puerto Plata, for example, generates more than 4,500 direct jobs and 12,000 indirect jobs. Wischenbart estimates that the new hotel project will bring in 200 new jobs and many more indirect jobs to the area. He also noted how the new project is indicative of the strength of tourism in Puerto Plata. The project is expected to draw thousands to the area every year.
"Only this year, which is almost over, our contribution to the treasury will be around one billion pesos, in addition to the four billion we contributed in the last five years," he said.
The Presidential Suites Cabarete will feature 13 luxurious buildings with units of 1, 2, and 3 rooms at end stage completion. Each room will include modern furnishings and a breathtaking view of the Puerto Plata beaches and resort gardens. The all-inclusive resort also has first-rate restaurants, a relaxing spa with sauna and Jacuzzi, several pools, bars, and other recreational accommodations. Currently at the opening of the first stage of the project, the Presidential Suites Cabarete includes 163 units that offer visitors a new concept of exclusivity and comfort.
