Door County, Wisconsin Named Best Fall Foliage Destination in Nationwide Competition
Fans across the U.S.A. spoke and Door County, Wisconsin took home the top spot as the Best Destination for Fall Foliage in the 2019 USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice travel award contest.

Door County was initially chosen as one of 20 nominees from across the country for the contest by a panel of national travel experts. The top 10 winners were determined by popular vote during online voting from July 29 through August 26, and the final tally saw Door County finish in the top spot.

Other destinations that finished in the top 10 included the White Mountains, Finger Lakes, Pocono Mountains, Michigan's Upper Peninsula and the Okanagan Valley, among others.

Door County was also named one of the 10 best places to explore this autumn by boat by Discover Boating.
