Double Olympic Medalist Andrew Weibrecht Ready to Ski with Mirror Lake Inn Guests on the Slopes of Whiteface Mountain

LAKE PLACID, N.Y., Oct. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In the spring, Andrew Weibrecht, son of Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa owners Ed and Lisa Weibrecht, ended a 16-year alpine skiing career that included Olympic silver and bronze medals. That announcement, however, opened a door for recreational skiers who are guests of the AAA Four Diamond resort in Lake Placid.
Starting this winter, Andrew will be available to guide hotel guests, exclusively, down the slopes of Whiteface Mountain. The 1980 Olympic site is where he learned his craft with his two brothers. Now he'll take you down those same slopes at speeds comfortable for all skiers and on appropriate terrain for their ability levels.
On hill sessions will be limited to no more than five people, and will occur from 8 AM to 12 PM.
"It's been great getting more involved in the family business over the summer since my retirement," said Andrew. "With our first snow flurries in the air, I'm now getting excited to explore my home mountain and share my love of skiing with Mirror Lake Inn guests throughout the winter. Also, Weibrecht will appear with Mirror Lake Inn staff at upcoming ski and travel shows in Albany (Nov. 2-4 in the Capital Center) and in New York City (Jan. 27-28 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center). He will meet attendees at both events and will be available to discuss your ski experience with him.
