MCLEAN, Va. (PRWEB) May 30, 2019
Dovel Technologies, a leading expert to federal agencies that blends deep domain expertise and advanced technologies in the health IT, life sciences, and grants management markets, today announced that Jon Brooks has joined their executive team as Chief Legal Officer and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. In this role, Brooks will lead the company’s legal, compliance, contracts and procurement functions, as well as drive the company’s corporate development efforts to accelerate growth through M&A and other strategic transactions.
Brooks comes to Dovel from Engility Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:EGL), where he most recently served as Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Deputy General Counsel. In this role he successfully led multiple transactions including Engility’s sale to Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAIC), valued at over $2 billion, as well as the acquisitions of TASC, Inc. and Dynamics Research Corporation. Brooks also oversaw Engility’s compliance, public company reporting and governance functions, and served as a board member of Forfeiture Support Associates, a joint venture of Engility and AECOM focused on the Federal law enforcement market.
“We are thrilled to have Jon on board to help us realize our organic and acquisitive growth goals,” said Paul Leslie, Dovel’s CEO. “His transactional, legal, and compliance experience will be a huge asset to our team as we look to expand the solutions we develop for the Health IT, Life Sciences, and Grants markets.”
With rapid and sustained growth over the last six years, Dovel has transitioned from a small business to a successful mid-tier enterprise with annual revenues of more than $200 million in 2018. Earlier this year, the company announced a partnership with Macquarie Capital as a way to more quickly advance their future growth plans.
“As I was looking for my next career step, Dovel stood out to me because of the way they approach customer challenges with a mix of domain expertise and knowledge of how to apply technology solutions to those challenges,” commented Brooks, “I see huge potential in this company and am excited to now be part of the team that will drive their vision not only for corporate growth but for customer support forward.”
