Clinical Consultant Pharmacist to share expert insights on maximizing pharmacy services
ISLE OF PALMS, S.C., Aug. 2, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dr. Diane Crutchfield, Clinical Consultant Pharmacist for UnitedRx's Pharmacy Network Services (PNS), will speak on behalf of UnitedRx, the Midwest's largest full-service, independent long-term care pharmacy, at the South Carolina Healthcare Association's upcoming 24th Annual Summer Splash Conference. The conference, which will feature the latest developments in the long-term care pharmacy sector, will be held from August 8-10 at Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, South Carolina.

Dr. Crutchfield has over 30 years of experience as a long-term care consultant pharmacist. She earned a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from the University of Tennessee, and PharmD from the University of Washington. Since 1997, she has held a Board Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy. In addition to working as an independent consultant pharmacist in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she launched Pharmacy Consulting Care in 1990, Crutchfield formerly held the position of chair of the Tennessee Pharmacists LTC Society. She is currently a member of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, and a past president of the national association.

At the conference, Dr. Crutchfield will discuss maximizing pharmacy services, including how to avoid pharmacy-related tags and citations on surveys, such as overcoming medication storage issues, medication administration challenges, and avoiding medication errors. Consultant pharmacists can assist in identifying areas that need improvement.
