Dr. Viterbo discovered a unique way to connect peripheral nerves, which grow together with a six-hour non-invasive surgery. The procedure involves cutting a healthy nerve and connecting end-to-end to a non-healthy nerve. The Brazilian doctor states, "Any nerve can be used as a donor nerve, as I found in my PhD thesis. I began using it on the face, to connect the healthy side of the face to the paralyzed side. I have been able to treat paraplegics with lack of sensation. I have helped patients regain their sense of smell."
In 2011, Dr. Viterbo decided to use the same method on patients with prostate cancer. Sixty percent of patients were able to resume normal sexual activity. The other forty percent were able to resume many healthy sexual activities including ejaculation. Therefore, nerve grafts in other fields have led him to this new discovery in the field of men and impotence. Dr. Viterbo uses both general and epidural anesthetics. Full results for the procedure have been seen in one year, and he has seen improved quality of life in 100% of patients.

Dr. Fausto earned completed both General surgery residence and plastic surgery residence, including cosmetic surgery. His specialty is facial-palsy treatments and developed techniques to improve facial conditions and has worked on young children as well, improving their smiles and saving them from atrophy, improving the muscles in the face. He has helped patients with hip trauma after motorcycle accidents, and with the addition of nerve grafts, the patient improved. Elderly patients have also immensely benefitted from his procedure.
