Dr. D. Glynn Bolitho Chosen as 2014 Castle Connolly Top Doctor
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) December 29, 2014 -- San Diego Plastic Surgeon, Dr. D. Glynn Bolitho, was selected to be part of the esteemed 2014 Castle Connolly Top Doctor List. Doctors were chosen in October and Dr. Bolitho just received word of this exceptional news.
The Castle Connolly Top Doctor List is a branch of Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. Dr. Bolitho’s recognition was entitled regional Castle Connolly Top Doctor. In San Diego County, Castle Connolly listed eight plastic surgeons in San Diego County for 2014.
Dr. Bolitho, Chief of Plastic Surgery at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla and also voted as top doctor in 2012, 2013, and 2014 by the San Diego Medical Society, was honored and humbled by the Castle Connolly acknowledgment.

Unbeknownst to Dr. Bolitho, he underwent a comprehensive screening in order to receive this honor.

The review includes, among other factors, scrutiny of medical education, training, board certifications, hospital appointments, administrative posts, professional achievements and malpractice and disciplinary history,” Akmal-Gonzalez said. “After this careful review of credentials, nominated physicians may be chosen to be listed as a regional Castle Connolly Top Doctor or a nationally outstanding America’s Top Doctor.”
Akmal-Gonzalez went on to say that its online database of Top Doctors contains more than 40,000 medical doctor profiles representing 65 medical specialties across the country.
“Physicians are selected and listed based on their board certifications using the ABMS standard,” he said.
Dr. Bolitho is quadrupled board certified in the Unites States of America, United Kingdom, Canada and South Africa.
Dr. Bolitho completed his plastic surgery fellowship training at Emory University in Atlanta. After leaving his full time faculty position at Emory, he opened the doors to his La Jolla private practice in 2000.
Dr. Bolitho is an active member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
