As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to create elevated risks for travel centers such as Chicago, we are proud to help provide a suite of high-quality testing services at a lower cost to travelers and the local population.

Dr. Jay Joshi is proud to announce that his medical practice, National Pain Centers, has teamed up with SG Blocks, Inc. and their talented IT team to bring rapid COVID-19 testing to Chicago airport employees, airport travelers, and the greater Illinois community.

After over half a year of pushing to mandate COVID-19 testing at American airports, Dr. Joshi is thrilled to launch a testing center encompassing approximately 200,000 sq. ft. with the ability to test up to 10,000 patients daily. Starting on January 26th, mandatory international passenger testing will go into effect. The testing center will be open to the public seven days a week starting the first week of February.

The COVID-19 testing site will be located at 1155 E Oakton Street, Des Plaines, IL 60018. In addition to a permanent laboratory to conduct tests, the facility is accompanied by ample parking space and is backed by a talented IT team. Trained medical staff will administer the following tests:

  • Rapid antigen test
  • Rapid IgM and IgG spike protein antibody test
  • Fast PCR test (24 hours)

National Pain Centers’ CEO and Medical Director Dr. Jay Joshi commented, “As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to create elevated risks for travel centers such as Chicago, we are proud to help provide a suite of high-quality testing services at a lower cost to travelers and the local population.”

Dr. Joshi continued, “The airport industry has been hesitant to push for COVID-19 testing as the original thought was testing would scare travelers away. The exact opposite is true. Proper, high quality testing coupled with masks will help protect airline travelers and provide them with increased reassurances when boarding an airplane in the age of COVID-19.”
