The International Society of Hair Restoration (ISHRS) recently held the 26th Annual World Congress gathering of hair transplant surgeons from all over the world. The event, held in Hollywood, California from October 10th-14th, was chaired by Dr. Parsa Mohebi, a Los Angeles hair transplant surgeon.
According to Dr. Mohebi, the founder of Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration in Los Angeles, “my first step as the chair of the event was to put together a very comprehensive Congress to address the growing needs of the hair restoration community. The technology behind hair restoration is growing and evolving at a rapid pace and the information that can be learned from the caliber of talent at the World Congress is unlike any other event in our community of hair restoration surgeons.”
When asked about some of the new techniques discussed at the World Congress, Dr. Mohebi said that “many novel techniques were reviewed. One of the latest innovations was the Trivellini multiphasic system which makes the FUE process significantly more efficient for both patients and doctors. In addition, the Mohebi inserter, that I created and implemented into my daily practice, minimizes the trauma to FUE grafts and improves the overall results of a hair transplant surgery.”
Looking back on the event, Dr. Mohebi said it was “well received by all attendees and many have called it one of the best conferences held by the ISHRS. While I received the praise for the conference thanks to my work as the chair of the event, I have to thank the many doctors, staff and volunteers across the country that put in months of work to make the event happen smoothly on all levels.”
Dr. Mohebi added that it is rewarding to put on an event like the World Congress. “Our World Congress has always been considered the main platform for members of our medical community to gather together and have intimate conversations regarding the state of our industry and the latest breakthroughs in hair restoration technology. I am already looking forward to attending this prestigious event next year.”
