HARTFORD, Conn. (PRWEB) April 23, 2019
Dream Payments, a digital payments hub for banks and insurance carriers, today announced that the company has retained insurance executive Erin Hatzikostas as strategic advisor to support the company as it expands in Connecticut and across the U.S. A seasoned and experienced industry veteran, Erin most recently served as President and CEO of PayFlex, a large healthcare financial company and a subsidiary of Aetna. She is now the Founder and CEO of b Authentic inc, a career and leadership consulting company.
“Erin’s experience in the insurance market along with her authenticity as a leader makes this a perfect alignment,” said Brent Ho-Young, CEO of Dream Payments. “We are confident that Erin will help us achieve our goal of bringing simple, convenient and cost-saving digital payments solutions to insurance carriers in the U.S. market. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her on board.”
The Dream Payments Insurance Hub digitizes and automates claims payments to the bank accounts and debit cards of customers and suppliers. Integrated with Mastercard Send, a global push payments platform that facilitates the delivery of funds in near real-time to virtually all domestic debit card accounts in the United States, the Hub includes an API that allows insurers of all sizes to rapidly launch digital claims payments, benefit from the speed and efficiency of digital claims payments, and eliminate the friction associated with printing, sorting, mailing and tracking of checks.
“Upon my introduction to Dream Payments, I immediately realized that the company had incredible potential in offering a much-needed payments platform for the insurance industry,” said Hatzikostas. “Dream Payments has a great vision and strong leadership. I’m excited about working with the team and the opportunity to help accelerate their success in Connecticut and with insurance carriers all across the U.S. market.”
In 2016, Dream Payments won the top award of $1.5 million at the annual VentureClash competition, the $5 million global venture challenge for early-stage companies run by Connecticut Innovations. Dream Payments is currently one of 10 startups participating in the Hartford InsurTech Hub’s 2019 accelerator program, which culminates with Amplify, the accelerator’s Demo Day on April 26 in Hartford, where Erin will deliver the keynote address.
“A highly respected executive in the insurance industry, Erin has the experience and vast knowledge of the insurance market, as well as healthcare payments, that will help Dream Payments bring easy and convenient payment solutions to the market from Connecticut,” said Matt McCooe, CEO of Connecticut Innovations.
