HEPWORTH, Ontario, July 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dreamers Creative Writing is pleased to announce the release of Issue 3 of the Dreamers Magazine.
The Dreamers Magazine is filled with heartfelt writing. In this issue, read the entries from the winner and honorable mentions from the Dreamers 2019 Haiku Contest. Over 600 haiku were submitted to this contest. The number and quality of the entries made choosing the winners very difficult, but you'll definitely be pleased with the results.
Make sure you check out this issue's feature story, "Itch," by Carolyne Topdjian, with its gritty plot and beautiful, unexpected ending. You'll also really love "Sunflowers" by Jean Thomas. The editors at Dreamers have read this piece many times and it only gets more powerful with each new reading. The world needs more stories like this one.
Check out even more great content inside, including:
- An interview with Caroline Misner, author of The Spoon Asylum.
- Dreamers top 10 picks for Exotic Writing Retreats around the world.
- A selection of over 20 heartfelt poems, stories, and book reviews.
"Thank you for sharing in our excitement as we launch Issue 3 of the Dreamers Magazine. And thank you for the support so many of you have offered us over the past year and a half! We're overwhelmed by how quickly the Dreamers Community is growing. We couldn't have gotten here without you," says Kat McNichol, Editor-in-Chief and Founder, Dreamers Creative Writing.

ABOUT DREAMERS CREATIVE WRITING
Dreamers is dedicated to all the different ways to write creatively from writing for writing's sake, to using creative writing in academic research, to writing as therapy.
We take our name from a lecture published in 1908, called "Creative Writers and Daydreaming" where Freud compared dreaming to art. He writes, "A piece of creative writing, like a daydream, is a continuation of, and a substitute for, what was once the play of childhood" (28). He goes on to say that "myths, legends and fairy tales" are the "wishful fantasies of whole nations, the secular dreams of youthful humanity" (Freud, 28).
Our business name also has personal meaning for our Editor-in-Chief and Founder, Kat McNichol. When Kat was a teenager, her dad owned Dreamers Gallery, a small art gallery based in Lion's Head, Ontario.
