Patients are able to perform routine tasks from going shopping to doing household chores as well as simulating family and job situations. The response has been positive and more facilities are adopting the program.
“I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we’ve seen a drop in relapse incidents since implementing the life skills curriculum,” Brian said. “It’s currently in its early stages and we want to eventually expand it further.”
