The Black-owned headwear company will launch The Yard Capsule featuring over 25 historically black colleges across the country.
MIAMI, May 20, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The South Florida based headwear brand is set to launch The Yard Capsule, a limited edition collection featuring Historically black colleges and universities like Florida A&M University, Alabama State, Bethune Cookman University, Clark Atlanta University, Grambling State University, Howard University, and Tuskegee University. The purpose of the collection is to represent HBCUs and enhance the sense of pride for these universities. "HBCU's cultivate cultural and personal pride in a country where the opposite intent is etched in history", said Castro. "We imagine the collection enhancing the sense of pride for these institutions. In addition, we want to encourage people to be fans of HBCUs like they are fans of the universities that garner the most televised attention". Dungeon Forward is putting HBCUs first.
Curated by FAMU alumnus and CEO, David Castro - licensing began with his alma mater and has expanded to over 25 schools. Dungeon Forward plans to partner with student ambassadors at each campus and equip them to engage in thoughtful and culture enhancing conversations. The brand hopes to work with more schools in the future, continuing to stamp their imprint of uplifting and adding awareness by storytelling through product.
