DYAKIM™ Introduces New Products Uniquely Designed for Wavy, Curly and Coily Hair Textures
White Plains, NY (PRWEB) January 09, 2017 -- Beauty and fashion will collide as two industry experts join forces to launch DYAKIM™, a luxury lifestyle brand offering high quality microfiber hair turbans and bath accessories. Each product is made from a special soft nylon fabric blend that absorbs excess water and retains just enough moisture to eliminate frizz and enhances curl shape. Curly Textured Expert, Diane Da Costa and Fashion and Style Influencer, Kimberly Christensen are the duo that designed the DYAKIM™ collection which includes the following products:
Textured Turban™ Hair Towel is a uniquely designed microfiber hair turban towel with three adjustable styles: flip-twist, turban and top knot. It is also long enough to create your own style.
Yama Cap is an uniquely designed, unisex microfiber cap that fits snug around the head. The Yama Cap effortlessly absorbs excess water and is created for long hair, braids, extensions and Locs for the entire family.
Standard Hair & Body Towel is a dual purpose, (30" x 52") towel made with a soft plush textured feel and a lite-weight microfiber fabric created for long hair, braids, extensions and Locs.
The Textured Turban™, priced at $24.99, is available in Simplee Coral and the Standard Hair and Body towel available in Islandic Blue, priced at $29.99, will be the first products released and are available for purchase at http://www.dyakimstyle.com.
The name DYAKIM™ is a fusion of the first names of the women behind the beauty brand, and represents the unique pairing of their talents in the beauty and fashion industries. Da Costa came up with the concept of the designer styled turban while drying clients curly hair using her signature turban wrap method with microfiber towels in her Westchester salon, SimpleeBEAUTIFUL CurlyTexturedBar. With over 25 years in the beauty industry working both behind the chair and with major beauty brands, Da Costa has had a birds eye view of consumer needs through the eyes of her clients, and the availability of quality hair products and accessories through her knowledge of the business end of the beauty industry. “Many people use t-shirts or cotton towels to dry their hair which can be very abrasive on your hair causing breakage and shedding. The quality of our microfiber fabrics and the unique combination of fashion and function is what sets the Textured Turban™ hair towel apart from other hair towels. The Textured Turban™ hair towel allows you to look fabulous while drying your hair," says Da Costa.
To execute the design element, Da Costa tapped long time friend and fashion designer, Kimberly Christensen, a Parsons School of Design graduate, who notably designed and developed women’s wear collections and accessories for Anne Klein II, Natori, May Merchandising Company's proprietary brands and J.C. Penney's largest and most profitable brand, Worthington. The style versatility and high quality fabric of the Textured Turban™ is attributed to Christensen’s extensive knowledge of clothing and product development. The fashion and style innovator has over 20 years in the garment industry traveling to Asia and Eastern Europe to work with manufacturing and production teams. Christensen’s passion for design and entrepreneurship is what brought the concept of Textured Turban™ to fruition. “I am really excited about the launch of the DYAKIM™ line. The Textured Turban™ towel was designed to look great and protect the hair, and is the epitome of combining "fashion and function,” says Christensen.
