Dynamic Web TWAIN v18.2 Made Improvements to the Image Editor for Better Speed and Image Quality.
VANCOUVER, Canada, May 15, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dynamsoft™ introduced a new version of its document capture software development kit - Dynamic Web TWAIN SDK - which allows end users to access scanners of various protocols such as TWAIN, SANE, ICA, or eSCL on the Intranet through any modern browser on any device. With the new release of Dynamic Web TWAIN v18.2, WIA support has been added. WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) is a protocol developed by Microsoft that is built into the Windows operating system. It provides a simple interface for image acquisition from scanners and cameras, making it easy to use for quick and basic scanning needs.

The optimization also allows a viewer-less implementation of Dynamic Web TWAIN. It reduces the load by removing the necessity of loading the image viewer resources into memory when the viewer is not being used.
Another highlight of v18.2 is the re-architected image editor for better speed and image quality. For example, the new image editing mode eliminates the need to upload the image to the server side first for processing and send it back to the local viewer. With the new mode, the data is processed in the canvas and then synced to the server side. This improves the image processing speed and enables feature expansion in the future such as undo and redo.
